WISHING FOR WATER
Join us in advocating and fundraising for water sanitation in developing countries. With an interactive booth consisting of 3 stations, we hope you can learn about the struggles women and children face to have access to clean water. Featuring a water testing station, a water-focused trivia game and a bracelet making station, with each donation or correct answer, you’ll be entered into a raffle for a chance to win SFU bookstore gift cards! |
2ND ANNUAL UNICEF SFU: WORLD WATER GALA
Following last year’s SOLD OUT Zero Hunger Gala (with 200 guests in attendance), UNICEF SFU held another community-oriented gala that continued to educate, advocate and fundraise on behalf of UNICEF Canada. This year, our theme is based on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal: “Clean Water and Sanitation”. On both a local and global scale, water accessibility continues to be a pressing issue that affects children and their families. Especially in remote communities, the lack of clean water is a major barrier to the physical and intellectual development of young children. We will be using 100% of the proceeds from this gala to support water initiatives around the world |

FORGOTTEN CHILDREN
